Welcome to Apache Popups Forums!

On behalf of all the Apache enthusiasts on this site... Welcome! and by all means please feel free not only to view the many topics on this site but to join us in the Apache Talk section and around The Campfire as well! As most members will tell you, these sections are the places where we get to know a little more about those that share a common interest... Apache Trailers!

The folks on this site are a great bunch of people with a lot of combined knowledge about Apache Trailers, Roundups and great camping spots around the country. As you will see from the many posts in this section, we all have a great sense of humor as well as a deep sense of compassion. We would love to hear from our new members

We also have installed a Chat bar on the bottom of the page where you can privately chat with another member on the site. For those that wish to make a donation to help with the operation of the site, we now have a section where you can securely make donations through PayPal.

So, Pull up a chair, move in closer to the campfire and share your experiences, concerns, interests, etc. with us!

Hello I just bought my first trailer Apache it's a 1973 Mesa I belive, and mostly all the living hinge has rotted and broke. What I am wondering if there would be anything wrong with using a piano hinge to replace it?The original owner has used piano hinge to replace one of them and I was just wondering why not use to to replace them all so I would never have to worry about breaking any of them ever again.

Today I just realized that this year it will be 20 years since I bought my first Apache and found a website run by a guy named Doug.     My first one was a 1985 Royal.  It had the full bathroom in it.  I've also had a couple Ramada's, a Hawk, an Eagle 6, and I had 2 Eagles.   My 62 Eagle I still have and it's my favorite.  The rest of them I sold.   But yesterday I purchased a 1960 Chief.   It needs a canvas, but otherwise has all of the parts.   How time does fly, and how things change, but the Apache's keep going....

the forum seems kind of dead lately. I know camping season hasn't really started yet, at least around here,  nobody getting their Apaches ready for another season of usage?  Where has everyone been?  In my case, all I have been able to do so far is think about what I hope to get done to my Ramada this year, hopefully in between more campouts than I have been able to get to over the past few years..... which has been about 2 a year, in previous years I was able to get out 3-4 times each..... seems like since I sold the Mesa for the Ramada, available camping time has gone down the drain. totally coincidental,  nothing to do with what camper I happen to have, or in years prior to that, in a tent..... which I also still have.
